Osmos is an interesting arcade-puzzle game created by independent producer Hemisphere Studios. Direct2Drive won the title in the poll, the Independent Games Festival.

Osmos based on very simple, although the original idea. The game is controlled by a tiny particle traversing the various levels filled with various facilities. A player's task is the absorption of other matter, which takes place simply by approximation to it. However, we can eat only particles smaller than us, so any contact with the larger subject of the game ends. The player must navigate between the different balls, looking for those that lend themselves to assimilation.
